National Security Technologies, LLC Business Assistant III in Las Vegas, Nevada

Performs a wide range of routine to complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision for the Ecological and Environmental Monitoring Department. Performs routine procurement functions and P-Card purchases for the department. Composes, edits, and distributes outgoing correspondence. Analyzes incoming correspondence and advises whether the document requires further action. Implements records management program. Maintains files of various historical data, and coordinates and maintains status of documents, software, records, and files directly related to management policies, general business operations, and support of assigned organization in compliance with organizational, company, and National Nuclear Security Administration regulations. Monitors department timekeeping activities. Performs key control, property custodian, and vehicle management functions. Serves as a facility emergency action team member and is the primary contact for non-department personnel entering the facility. Operates the radio base station and is the primary point of contact for personnel when checking out to, and in from the field. Screens and routes incoming phone calls. Coordinates requests for services and answers or directs inquiries from other organizations or outside entities. Monitors all follow-up actions required by supervisor/manager. Reviews organization’s administrative processes and recommends changes to procedures as required. May perform administrative tasks of a specialized nature to research, analyze, and develop projects and assignments. Supports scientific and technical operations by inputting, compiling, extracting and analyzing data and helps prepare information for studies or reports. Organizes and assists in preparing material for meetings, presentations, and training sessions. May assist in personnel activities, such as recruitment, policy administration, compensation administration, employee development, travel arrangements. May assist with tracking of budget baselines. Assists in cross-training other personnel in administrative skills, techniques, and procedures.

High School diploma or equivalent, and at least three years' of related experience. Ability to use personal computer and software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database skills are desirable, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, calculators, and other general office equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instruction, and follow through on all assignments. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various levels of management and customers. Ability to apply knowledge of a broad range of specialized functions and assist in coordinating activities with those of other work groups. Ability to demonstrate creativity in how work is performed and in addressing work processes. Ability to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines. Ability to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints. Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Must possess an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
