This position requires a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, English, marketing, or business from a regionally accredited college or university and more than six years of comparable professional experience.

Must have outstanding communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to synthesize information from technical and non-technical disciplines and strategically identify meaningful communication opportunities, both on and offline, for internal and external audiences. A

bility to collaborate with multiple Lee Business School units and departments to create cohesion/synergy between disparate marketing objectives. Experience in the production of materials such as marketing and recruitment materials, news releases, web-specific content, print, radio and other advertising. Knowledge of both traditional and new media platforms. Experience with website development, SEO, electronic communications, social media planning, photography and video.

The Director of Communications is responsible for developing and administering a comprehensive, integrated communications program for the Lee Business School at UNLV. This position reports to the Assistant Dean for External Relations. The director collaborates with school leadership, development staff, center directors and multiple university level partners to develop strategies and programs that will heighten awareness and improve perception of the Lee Business School. Duties include creating and executing a communications plan that highlights faculty and student achievement and ties school priorities with key university initiatives; oversees and develops internal and external communication materials (collateral, news releases, digital content, advertising, and social media) on the school, its signature programs, faculty, staff and students; manages and updates the schools website; delivers communications and marketing direction to the dean, administrators, center directors and advisory board members; coordinates with central university communicators on news and information about the Lee Business School; cultivates and maintains a strong media presence through strategic outreach and media planning; and supports annual and signature event programming and production
