Western Alliance Bank Lockbox Support Rep in Las Vegas, Nevada

The position of Lockbox Support Representative is responsible for processing all Lockbox transactions; logging and tracking all Lockbox mail; sorting, opening and verifying outgoing mail; performing various clerical duties; answering questions or inquiries customers may have concerning their Lockbox accounts; performing data entry/item entry balancing and reject/re-entry using speclialized software on an image display workstation; assisting in a variety of operational duties.

  • Counts and sorts mail by appropriate PO Box.

  • Operates computer efficiently to obtain and process data.

  • Opens mail using Opex 150 and Opex 51 extracting equipment

  • Prepares and scans batches into ITRAN 3000 and ITRAN 300 scanners:

  • Keys and balances payment transactions; researches when necessary.

  • Answers inbound customer service calls and fax requests.

  • Handles customer inquiries, problems, and requests relating to Lockbox.

  • Assists with the end-of-day operations.

  • Batches correspondence for delivery to customers.

  • Files necessary documents, coupons and check storage.

  • Monitors lockbox mail for charges and special handling items, and maintains postage paid accounts; tracks and pays annual rates.

  • Calculates monthly volume and charge fees to customers by imputing analysis or preparing advice of charge.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations or lockbox background.

  • Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.

  • Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.

  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer (ITI) system; and word processing, (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.).

  • Typing skills to meet production needs of the position. (approx. 30 wpm)

  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.

  • Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
