Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Slot Marketing Executive is to develop, grow and maintain relationships with customers in the $750+average daily worth segment, primarily through acquisition, development, and retention efforts of slot players. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain players on behalf of the Venetian and the Palazzo, with a primary focus on Slot customers with a value greater than $750 per day.

  • Aggressively utilize “hit sheet”, and frequently walk the high denomination slot floor looking for unhosted players.

  • Aggressively telemarket guests, track responses in GEMFIRE, and personally book reservations.

  • Staffing key contact points on property, such as credit desk, gold lounges, high limit areas, etc as necessary.

  • Meet and achieve all goals as related by the management team, including, but not limited to, production, telemarketing, and reservations goals.

  • Support all promotional and special event offers through bookings.

  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21+ years of age

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English, both in oral and written form.

  • Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards.

  • Maintain consistent adherence to the Venetian and Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in developing and maintaining a customer base, primarily consisting of slot players, or related gaming industry experience.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the issuance of comps, including but not limited to, Food and Beverage, Rooms, Shows, Transportation, and Airfare preferred.

  • The following skills are highly desired and required to succeed in the Slot Marketing Executive role:

  • Business Comprehension: includes a thorough understanding of all slot and table games products, ratings, industry terminology, theoretical calculations, competitive insights and knowledge, and an understanding of gaming-related policies and procedures.

  • Comp Decision Making: A thorough understanding of how and when to offer comps based upon game type and theoretical earning, better styles, estimated player worth, and competitive evaluation.

  • Communication / Player Follow-up: The ability to communicate promotions, offers, and property and industry knowledge to our guests effectively. Efficiently respond to guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Telemarketing & Sales Skills: Good cold-calling ability, the ability to open a conversation, effectively promoting the features and benefits of the Venetian and Palazzo vs. the competition. This includes the ability to convey the terms of all offers and promotions, and effectively secure reservations. A thorough understanding of the development of a player, and can effectively move their players to the next level or gain market share through an understanding of the guest’s individual wants or needs. This position requires approximately 30% of the time devoted to telemarketing and computer work, and 70% of the time spent on the gaming floor meeting and communicating with prospective and existing guests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.

  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

  • Withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.

  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.

  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.

  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
