POSITION SUMMARY

Enthusiastically facilitates/delivers all training programs, classes, and culture enhancement initiatives to a large, diverse audience. The organizational development programs include, but are not limited to, orientation/on-boarding, guest service, management development, and various other courses.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Act as facilitator for all training courses and deliver all materials in an upbeat manner that is effective for an adult learning environment and has a positive impact on the organization.

  2. Assist in the development, writing, and ongoing updating of training materials. The training materials may include: course content, visual charts, graphics, sound, videos, etc.

  3. Liaises with Departmental Trainers and Managers regarding training and manuals.

  4. Assists in the scheduling of training sessions and Team Member notification.

  5. Ensures rooms are booked for all training classes and assists in facility and audiovisual setup when needed.

  6. Maintains database of completed Team Member training and track attendance sending updates to departments as needed.

  7. Prepares sign-in sheets for classes.

  8. Ensures all training materials are ordered and course content is current.

  9. Must have the ability to adjust training style to accommodate learning capabilities, energy level, and participation level.

  10. Other duties as required as a member of the Human Resources team.

  11. Must be physically present at work, in assigned work station, in order to perform all functions required of the position.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must have ability to:

  • Review, comprehend and respond to all necessary department information.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, as well as all outside contacts.

  • Develop and manage training programs and department plan within budget constraints.

  • Develop effective training and development programs for all positions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Related education or experience in a training/facilitator role; preferably in a resort or similar setting. Minimum of two (2) years previous training, teaching, or Human Resources experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; Keynote (presentation software) is strongly preferred. Extremely comfortable and effective when speaking in front of groups of all sizes. Strong organizational, administrative, proofreading and grammatical skills. Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, hotel administration, business, or a related field is preferred.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Hard Rock Hotel.

  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.

  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.

  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
