House of Blues EDC LV 2018 - Emergency Dispatcher in Las Vegas, Nevada
The successful Emergency Dispatcher will be responsible for receiving and dispatching requests for emergency and other requests from the event Command Post. Dispatchers will in turn dispatch appropriate resources based on the nature of the call and use our internal incident reporting system to record all aspects of the call.
Field radio calls for emergency and non-emergency situations
Dispatch appropriate personal based on the type of call
Consistently stay up to date with event logistics and move Health & Safety, Ground Control and medical staff around the property to anticipate where medical calls may take place
Coordinate with field supervisors to give breaks/lunches to field teams and document times
Monitor GPS tracking system
Keep detailed computerized logs of dispatch times and incident information
Coordinate breaks/lunches with other safety dispatchers to insure that the Command Post is continuously staffed
Prepare after action reports for every event worked
Reports to Health & Safety Management Team
Ability to work under pressure and in stressful and/or loud environments
Experience using two-way radios
EMT-D certification is highly desirable
Having a basic understanding of medical terminology is highly desirable
Must have and bring to the event a laptop in excellent working order
Typing speed 45+ words a minute
