Plans, organizes and coordinates the workflow of data for all reporting required for the National Transit Database.

Responsibilities

Overview:

Under supervision, assists in Data Reconciliation, Editing and Correcting Manifest, Data Entry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Trapeze MDT and AVL data, review available estimated and actual times within Trapeze and fill in the blanks.

  • Document methodology used in the Tracker Action Log

  • Review available odometer reading and system generated estimated travel miles.

  • Modifying Times and Odometer Reading in Trapeze.

  • Review available distance traveled and review available odometer reading.

  • Review system generated estimated times.

  • Maintains a clean and well-organized work area

  • Maintains current knowledge of and adherence to Veolia Las Vegas department policies, directives, and procedures.

  • Arrives to work on time, in proper work attire.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required

Experience:

  • One year transit operations, transit scheduling, or other transit-related experience utilizing transit routes and schedules

  • Knowledge of local area

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to read English, comprehend and understand maps

  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases, manifests and routes

  • Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

  • Must be able to use a computer, mouse, keyboard, have knowledge of Microsoft Office, and able to type

  • Perform arithmetic and basic statistical calculations rapidly and accurately

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

  • Manipulate and analyze data using arithmetic formulas and detailed procedures

  • Read and understand route scheduling

  • Operate a calculator

  • Utilize computer software

  • Set priorities under close deadlines

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional meetings

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
